External platforms
A significant part of the analytical or experimental work at IEES-Paris is carried out on external equipment:
- The IRD Alysés platform based in Bondy;
- The CEREEP-Ecotron of Ile de France, located in the commune of Saint-Pierre lès Nemours south of Fontainebleau, whose Deputy Director is a member of iEES Paris, where work on population dynamics and communities, and the functioning of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems;
- The PLANAQUA (National Platform for Aquatic Ecology) equipment of excellence, located on the CEREEP site, where work is being carried out on the dynamics of biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems. Access to CEREEP and PLANAQUA equipment is chargeable and funded by research projects. The departments most concerned are ECOEVO and ECOMECO;
- The ORACLE, Environmental research observatory grouping the Orgeval, Grand Morin and Petit Morin watersheds, widely used by ECOMECO and ECO-SP members.
International devices
- The SNO M-TROPICS, network of watersheds in Southeast Asia (Laos, Vietnam, Thailand), labeled National Observation Service.
- The Lamto Tropical Ecology Station, historical base of part of the tropical component of the laboratory and its “ancestors” since the early 1960s, which mainly concerns the DCFE Department;
- The Hwange Workshop area in Zimbabwe where ANR projects have been conducted, among others, mainly related to the DCFE Department.
- The International Joint Laboratory on Ecology and Sustainable Development (EDD-BIOIV) brings together Nangui Abrogoua University in Abidjan, IEES-Paris, and Eco & Sols UMR to conduct research on the ecology of the Lamto savannah, agroecology, and urban ecology in Abidjan.
- The LIA with Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS)
